Gregory Strachov observed a trend of developing artists produce art similar to those of celebrity painters. He said that the artist should not be focused on mastering the techniques and copy art of celebrity painters, such that they become blind to the true meaning of art and not become creative. Their art becomes copies of celebrity painters. Serious collectors avoid them.

The meaning of the painting that is intended to communicate a message to the viewer. After all, people read great writing not for their penmanship or their fonts but rather on the meaning that is intended through them.

Can the above 4 lessons be applied to the veterinary surgeon who performs surgery? Will clients appreciate a stitching well done? I guess some will.  Or to veterinary undergraduates producing great essays to get high distinctions awarded by their professors? Or to office managers writing mundane reports required by their bosses?
