Inflammation and
Infections -
Pyometra
(Womb Infections) in
the
female
dog.
Advice: Spay your
female dog to
prevent pyometra.
Pyometra surgeries
to remove the womb
are high-risk
anaesthesia cases
since the dog is
already very sick.
Some do die during
anaesthesia. There
are two
classifications of
pyometra - closed
and open pyometra
5618 - 5621.
Closed pyometra
surgery is highly
risky compared to a
spay and costs much
more as it is a long
surgery. Spaying
your female dog
early will have been
preferred.
